he Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Club Inc. (“GCTMC”) invites competitors and officials to the Accent Benchtops Working Dog Rally 2019 (“ABWDR”).
The organisers are attempting to offer a rally that is ‘not the norm’ and hopefully caters for a multitude of differing competitor’s wants and desires. The Supplementary Regulations will require a careful read as they are structured to allow a range of events within the overarching main event, the Accent Benchtops Working Dog Rally. You will be able to enter just the main event (the ADWDR) if you wish, or possibly all categories, dependent on the vehicle you are entering.
The Accent Benchtops Working Dog Rally (ABWDR) is round:
- three of the P3 Solutions CAMS Queensland Rally Championship (QRC)
- three of the P3 Solutions CAMS Queensland 2WD Rally Championship (QRC2wd)
- three of the P3 Solutions CAMS Queensland Junior Rally Championship (JQRC Junior)
- three of the P3 Solutions CAMS Queensland Clubman Rally Series (QCRS)
- three of the P3 Solutions CAMS Queensland Novice Rally Series (QNRS)
- five of the MTA NSW Rally Championship (NSWRC)
- five of the East Coast Classic Rally Series (ECCRS)
- Authentic (2WD)
- Modified 2WD
Whatever category of the event you enter you will be competing over world class shire road stages.
Before we get into details, I want to take this opportunity to especially thank the Kyogle Council, the NSW Police, the volunteer organisations based in Bonalbo and Tabulam, and the residents in the region for their valued support and enthusiasm. We also thank all the businesses of Bonalbo and Tabulam who assist in making this event possible.
We would also like to thank all our sponsors and partners who have come on board, especially Glenn Brinkman of Accent Benchtops, who is the naming rights sponsor. Please note that Glenn has specifically directed a significant portion of his sponsorship to helping younger competitors. Up to a maximum of 8 prizes with a total value of $2000 will be chosen by the event organisers as encouragement awards for under 25-year-old competitors (Driver or Co-driver). Glenn will also be donating gifts for our hard-working officials as a personal thank you for all their efforts.
The GCTMC Inc. wishes to acknowledge the support shown by members of the other Clubs and the over 200 hundred Officials who will be required make this event possible. Without their assistance and professionalism this event would possibly not be able to proceed. And what is the significance of the “Working Dog” after whom the rally has been named you well may ask? Well Sponsor Glenn kindly agreed to recognise that Bonalbo is the birthplace of working dog trials in Australia and a monument in the town pays tribute to the role played by working dogs in rural Australia over many years. Make sure you visit that monument before you leave the district.
