Welcome to the Monaro once again. This year’s event follows a similar route to last year with excellent shire stages flowing into stages in Coolingubra State Forest, hopefully without the rain and major weather event that bought an early end to the 2018 event.
The roads are in excellent condition, with the open shire roads and more technical forest sections incorporated to give a wide variety of road types and surfaces
Moving the event to take in the forests has shifted us away from my favourite stages from 2017 but the final shire road stage, though short, makes up for it.
With a number of high quality events taking place in NSW, the 2018 Monaro Stages was awarded CAMS NSW/ACT Best State Event of the Year at the Annual Awards Presentation in February 2019 – the award bearing testimony to the club, organising committee and the team that puts this event together.
Our major sponsor, Andrew Penny (owner at Kosciuszko Automotive) was awarded Sportsperson of the Year for the Snowy Mountains Monaro Region in the 2019 Australia Day Awards. Andrew was recognised for his commitment to growing motorsport within the local area, his dedication to his motorsport and representing the local area at a state, national and international level over the past 20 years.
Our thanks again to Andrew & Georgina for their sponsorship and support for the Monaro Stages again in 2019. We greatly appreciate their support over the past 3 years.

It was a completely new event to all at the 2019 Accent Benchtops Working Dog Rally. Story by Neil Blackbourn and Pictures by Dave King Any rally around the Batemans Bay Area is tough and demanding on cars and crews. Not to much in the way of room beside any of the roads, and lots of twists, turns and rocks to catch you out if just a little off line. But […]Continue Reading →
