FROM THE CLERK OF COURSE
Well folks, here we go again.
After the disappointment of having to postpone the BP Clybucca Rally on the 1st July, we were then advised that the Roadhouse would be closing in early August as well!
So after some debate, we have moved the Service Park and Rally H.Q. a little further north to “Unkya Reserve” at Eungai Creek (near our Khanacross venue). Facilities are basic but we have toilets, a canteen and the old Sports Ground which we can utilise as the Service Park. Crews should be aware that Fuel will need to be at “own resources”. NO FUEL AVAILABLE at Service Park.
The Competitive Stages will be conducted in the same format as previously planned.
The organisers have also decided to have the Presentation of Awards at the South West Rocks Surf Club, located on Livingstone St: near Horseshoe Bay. The Club has a Bistro (…until 8.00pm) and Bar. We hope to see many of the crews attending the Presentation. The Club would like to obtain some idea of numbers attending for catering purposes, so if you would like a meal, please let us know numbers with your entry.
We also have a new sponsor for the event. Patterson Glassworks have come on board which is very much appreciated. Proprietor Anthony Patterson is a Kempsey local and is also an active member of the Kempsey Sporting Car Club.
We hope you can join us for the “Patterson Glassworks Rally” on Saturday 21st October.
Yours in rallying
