To the Competitors
Welcome to the Monaro, it has been a long time since there was a Special Stage Rally in the area, the 1965 London to Sydney and people still talk about it. I have chosen a selection of roads that range from open and flowing through paddocks to technical along creeks, most of these roads have never been used in a rally before, and will provide a challenge to competitors, I would rate them as good open forest roads rather than the typical definition of shire roads.
The land holders and property managers have been very generous to the point of moving stock so the event can happen and the town and local car club have embraced the rally. We are servicing adjacent a major car show, The Cooma Motorfest, that happens bi-annually to raise money for Cancer research, competitors will have access to the Motorfest, the Cooma Car Club has asked we make a gold coin donation.
The Monaro stages will start and regroup adjacent the Cooma showground giving the opportunities for spectators to get close to the cars and competitors. I am hoping to see the Monaro Stages become a fixture on the NSW DRS, HRS and ACT Regional Rally Series calendar

The CAMS NSW Rally Panel regrets to advise that NSW competitors have been left with little option but to call for the 2018 Kennards Hire Rally Australia to be removed from the NSW calendar. This is disappointing as it could have been a fitting finale to the MTA NSW Rally Championship and the East Coast […]Continue Reading →
