It is with great pleasure that the North Shore Sporting Car Club welcomes you to the Singleton Automotive Centre Caves Classic: Round 1 of the TechWorkz Development Rally Series (DRS, including DRS4) and the Hyundai Rally Series (HRS).
We are over the moon to have long standing club Member Rob Inall and his wife Karen as our naming rights partners, with their new business “Singleton Automotive Centre”. This business incorporates Singleton Ford and Singleton Nissan and Rob will give you a great deal on new and used cars regardless of your location.
This year’s event has a lot going for it….
- High quality roads for a total competitive distance of 102km in a compact format
- Central Service Park with coffee van and hot food all day long… and camping permitted
- Pace note option for crews not contesting DRS or HRS
- Reduced entry fees, following your strong support in 2016
- Additional savings ($25 fuel voucher) for NSSCC members – it pays to be a member…
- Only a couple of hours’ drive from Sydney and even closer to Bathurst
- Post-event dinner and presentation at Hampton Halfway Hotel, just 6km up the road
- Free food and drink for officials including a drink and dinner at the post-event presentation.
Everyone’s a winner at the Singleton Automotive Centre Caves Classic!
This year’s route has the best bits from 2016, together with some of the highest quality roads that were off limits last year, plus some additional roads that haven’t seen a rally car for many years. You won’t be disappointed! But please note daylight saving will have finished, so bring your driving lights for the last few stages.
If you haven’t registered for the DRS, DRS4 or HRS yet, you need to have your registration details and payment received by the Rally Panel by the close of entries – go to rallynsw.com.au. It is worth your while to register as you’ll receive discounted entry fees to all rounds during the year.
Not competing? We would love you to join the 50 or so other volunteers to help make the event a success! Please contact us if you would like to help out – we will look after you.
Finally, we would like to thank all those people involved in staging the Singleton Automotive Centre Caves Classic. From the Forestry Corporation, Lithgow Police, Lithgow Council, residents who kindly agree to us using their local access roads, to all the event’s administration people, radio operators, medical crew, scorers, scrutineers, set-up crews, caterers, control and road closure officials, clean-up crews and so many others. And of course to our naming rights partner and additional sponsors. Thank you one and all!
Good luck to all competitors and safe travelling to and from the event!
