In an effort to promote and strengthen relationships between NSW Car Clubs, each month Rally NSW will be profiling one of the clubs that make up our rally community.

June’s club is the Central North Coast Sporting Car Club, promoters of the Nabiac Rallysprint, Round 3 of the 2016 Rallysprint Series.

Club Name: Central North Coast Sporting Car Club

Club Location: Nabiac, NSW

Membership: Approximately 150 – 200

Motorsport focus: Rallysprints, Autocross, Khanacross and Motorkhanas.

Tell us a brief history of the club?

Our Club was first established in 1954.  We purchased the old Nabiac Aerodrome site in 1958, now known as Nabiac Motorsport Complex, which allowed us our own venue to conduct motorsport.  After our Taree Clubhouse being sold in 2002 we purchased a small demountable building with plans in place to build a new Clubhouse equipped with industrial kitchen, secretary office, amenities and a large communal/meeting area.  The official opening of our Clubhouse was in 26th January 2014.

Our members have the opportunity to compete in Motorkhana, Khanacross, Autocross, Rallysprint and Off Road events all at the one venue.  We hold at least one event per month at our Complex.  We have a very healthy membership base of between 150-200 annually.

What is the clubs main focus? (rallies, rallysprints, khanas etc)

Motorkhana, Khanacross, Autocross, Rallysprint, Off Road

What events does the club run (now and in the past)

This year we are running a round of the NSW Rallysprint Series at Nabiac.

In the past we have conducted rallies in the Taree Forest Area.
